Marc Almond to tour again

The singer joins Jools Holland on the road

Singer Marc Almond is to tour for the first time since his near fatal motorcycle crash last year that left him in intensive care.

The star is to join Jools Holland on his annual autumn tour of the UK. Almond will perform guest vocals at all of the shows on the 30-date tour except Nottingham Royal Centre (30 Nov), Sheffield City Hall (1 Dec) and Glasgow Clyde Auditorium (2 & 3 Dec).

Almond said about getting back out on the road; "I'm really thrilled about joining Jools on tour. It's a chance to ease back into work after what happened. Jools is an extraordinary person and such a rare talent: I couldn't think of anyone better to go out on tour with."

Holland will also be joined by long time hero and veteran soul music revelatory Solomon Burke who will be appearing at the Reading Hexagon (24 Nov), London's Royal Albert Hall (25 & 26 Nov), Nottingham Royal Centre (30 Nov), Sheffield City Hall (1 Dec) and Glasgow Clyde Auditorium (2 & 3 Dec).
