New Nirvana Compilation To Be Released

Tree previously unheard Nirvana songs are to be included in a new compilation of rare tracks and demos.

The 22 track compilation is to be called ‘Silver’. Kurt Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean has played a large part in the marketing of the album.

The thirteen year old helped to select the title and artwork for the new album, her mother Courtney Love is hoping Frances will take an active role in the Cobain estate.

Love said to Rolling Stone: "We're pulling Frances into the family business.”

Peter Asher who manages the Cobain estate said of Frances: "Courtney and I involve Frances in Nirvana/Kurt decisions whenever we can,"

"She's very perceptive and has cool ideas."

The last Nirvana release was the ‘With The Lights Out’ box set last November. The release of which was delayed for several years due to legal battles between Love and Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.
