Tortoise Has Busy Year Ahead

Renowed Chicago instrumental act Tortoise will be busy over the next several months. They are touring and plan to release two records in the next year.

The first album is a collaboration with indie rocker Will Oldham which will be a 10 track compilation of cover songs due out early next year. The record will feaure covers of songs by Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, The Minutemen, Lungfish and more. Tortoise will be heading into the studio on their own to begin work on the follow up to 2004’s “It’s all around you” at the end of the year. The band will also be leaving on their fall tour backing up artist/producer Daniel Lanois begining October 6th
