The Brunettes: Sub Pop and New Album

the Brunettes
Sub Pop are excited to announce that they are newly working with New Zealand pop sensation, The Brunettes.

They've already released a couple of EPs and full-lengths via Auckland's Lil Chief Records and done some touring here in the US with both The Shins and Rilo Kiley.

The label expect their first release on Sub Pop sometime around summer/fall of 2006.

In the meantime, you can find out more about The Brunettes here.

From The Brunettes site:

"We are overjoyed to announce our signing with the good folk at Sub Pop Records. They will release our next album in the States in August 2006.

Jonathan and Heather are working on the album in New York until December when they fly south to New Zealand to escape winter once again. We will play some shows in Australia and are very happy to be able to support the Shins again for their shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne! New Tour Dates here. After finishing off the album in March we will be back to the States to tour as much as we can!"
