Robert Pollard will hit the road to promote the Pollard/James Greer Guided By Voices book, Guided By Voices: A Brief History (Twenty-one Years of Hunting Accidents In The Forests of Rock And Roll). The four-stop tour launches Sunday, and lets fans get an autographed copy of the book. Maybe if fans are really lucky, he’ll record some of his book-signing banter and release it as a limited-edition, super-collectible vinyl-only release. |
At the very least, it'll give Tobin Sprout fans a chance to complain directly to Pollard instead of Aversion for a change.
If reading’s not your bag, don’t freak out (though you probably abandoned ship long before this point). Pollard is slated to drop his first solo effort, The Compound Eye, Jan. 26 from Merge Records.
Pollard’s book tour’s dates are:
Nov. 14 – Books and Co., Dayton (7 p.m.)
Nov. 15 – DePaul University Bookstore, Chicago (5:30 p.m.)
Nov. 17 – Chelsea Barnes & Noble, New York

I have this book coming in the mail, and can't wait to give it a read...plus The Electrifying Conclusion DVD and Suitcase II are on their way as well. I only wish Pollard would make more stops in Canada; maybe he will when he goes on the road to support From A Compound Eye.
