Gwen Stefani: Returns Home to Rock Orange County / Takes Home 2005 American Music Award

Gwen Stefani
Hardcore fans thrilled with solo act

Thousands of true Gwen Stefani fans came out Tuesday night to see Gwen perform solo at The Pond in Anaheim, California, for her final hometown show.

We joined in to see if her solo tour puts on as outstanding of a show as her Grammy winning band No Doubt does in concert.

We thought she might have something up her fashionable sleeve to surprise her hardcore Orange County fans.

The bass rumbled and the crowd pumped up their energy as Stefani stepped out on stage with her stylish back up dancers --- the Harajuku Girls -- proving that she holds her own on stage without her backing band. Complete with breakdancers, multiple costume changes, and a marching band for her finale of "Hollaback Girl," Stefani showed her hometown fans that this is just the begining of her hot new dance music career. Lucky for fans, word is out that Gwen is coming out with a second solo CD very soon, and fans got a preview of two new songs including crowd favorite, 'Orange County Girl.'

We wondered if her hardcore O.C. fans would be upset that she didn't perform any No Doubt songs in her home town, but the fans didn't have many compliants. It was Gwen mania and the crowd left eager to find out what the L.A.M.B. princess is going to do next.
