Supergrass LP To See U.S. Release

Tell your girlfriend to sit on it, Fonzie style, because your Gaz Coombes Halloween costume idea couldn't be better timed: The latest disc from UK scruff heroes Supergrass will finally get its Stateside release just as we stumble into October.

According to a press release, Capitol Records has set a firm date of September 27 for the U.S. release of the band's 5th studio album, Road to Rouen.

The LP was originally issued in the band's native land this August (following up 2002's rocking Life on Other Planets) and features 9 tracks, including the single "St. Petersburg." La songs:

01 Tales Of Endurance (Parts 4, 5 & 6)
02 St. Petersburg
03 Sad Girl
04 Roxy
05 Coffee In The Pot
06 Road To Rouen
07 Kick In The Teeth
08 Low C
09 Fin

Supergrass will also be playing a pair of shows to celebrate the album's arrival in the U.S. at the end of the month, before heading back to Britain for a dozen dates lined up throughout October. A full North American tour in support of Road to Rouen is expected in 2006, but no details have been finalized as of yet. Barbershops be damned, the band's remaining 2005 shows will play out like this:
