Coldplay Join 'Help: A Day In The Life' Line-Up

Coldplay are the latest act who joined the new War Child album ‘Help: A Day In The Life’ at the very last minute.

Chris Martin and co. gave their rare song ‘How You See The World’ to the worthy cause. The band remixed and added new lyrics to the War Child version yesterday while in the States.

War Child exec, Mark Waddington, said: "It went really close to the wire but it's great to have them on board."

Speaking to the nme, a spokesperson added: "Chris Martin re-wrote the lyrics for the project and recorded the vocals at a studio in New York on Thursday 8th September. The vocals were then sent digitally to 'Help' producer Mark Stent who remixed the track last night."

As reported earlier on Gigwise, Babyshambles also joined the host of artists appearing on the album at the last minute too.

The War Child album is available to download now. A physical release comes out on September 26.
