The Strokes To Produce Sexplosion In New York

The Strokes
I'm sure there are people out there who like to get it on to The Strokes' music, but the band are going to prove it in their new video. Or at least, they're going to make people fake it so that it seems like that's the case.

The video for "Juicebox," the first single from First Impressions On Earth, will be shot this weekend in New York City. The concept for the video is that the band will play the song live at a NYC radio station and the song will be broadcast across the city. Director Michael Palmieri will have cameras in the bedrooms of romantics who hear the song and get it on.

"There might be full frontal nudity," Julian Casablancas told MTV News. "MTV will not play this video because it's so controversial, but it will be groundbreaking." Now that's exactly what their label wants to hear: it won't get played on TV! Great!

There was a casting call out for "people of all genders, ages, ethnicities and sexual preferences who are 'comfortable' with exhibitionistic displays of love, tenderness and affection."

First Impressions On Earth, meanwhile, finally has a solid release date. It hits North American shelves on January 3. Two of its songs, the aforementioned "Juicebox" and "You Only Live Once" are circulating on the internet. You can purchase "Juicebox" on iTunes.

Oh, and there's a track list too, but it's not in order (they're saving that for another full news story):
# "You Only Live Once"
# "Heart In A Cage"
# "Razor Blade"
# "On The Other Side"
# "Electricityscape"
# "Killing Lies"
# "Fear Of Sleep"
# "15 Minutes"
# "Vision Of Division"
# "Red Light"
# "Evening Sun"
# "The Ize Of The World"
# "Ask Me Anything"
