Nick Cave names 2006 solo dates

Nick Cave
The Bad Seeds frontman will hit the road from late January.

Nick Cave has slated a series of solo dates for early 2006 without the Bad Seeds.

The iconic Australian singer/songwriter, who recently completed the score to his self-penned feature film 'The Proposition' [read: Jay-Z takes control at Def Jam], will play seven dates in total with his solo band of Warren Ellis (violin), Martyn Casey (bass) and Jim Sclavunos (drums).

It is unclear if any new tracks will be aired - his label, Mute Records, simply confirm the shows will give his fans the chance to see Nick Cave in venues not possible with a full band.

Dates are:

January 2006
30 - Birmingham Symphony Hall
31 - Cambridge Corn Exchange

February 2006
1 - Nottingham Royal Centre
2 - London Apollo Victoria
4 - Edinburgh Playhouse
5 - Glasgow Concert Hall
6 - Manchester Bridgewater Hall
