Will Oldham Gets Live In November

Will Oldham
Sea Note will drop the first live record from bearded royalty Bonnie "Prince" Billy, a.k.a. Will Oldham, (or Palace, if you're nasty) on November 15. Summer In The Southeast's 17 tracks come from Oldham's Bonnie "Prince" Billy incarnation, but Palace is also represented on a track or two as well. The album's live tracks were selected from his Southeast tour last year (natch) that started in Denton, Texas and ended in Wilmington, North Carolina.

In other Princely news, Oldham's covers record with Chicago's Tortoise, The Brave And The Bold will drop early next year on Overcoat Recordings. The idea for the album of diverse covers reportedly began as a joke between Oldham and the owner of Overcoat Recordings, Howard Greynolds. Now that Tortoise is involved in said joke, the humor will be much more improvised and take about 20 minutes to get to the (post-rock) punchline.
