U2 Cash-In

Johnny And Rosanne Cash
U2 and the Foo Fighters are to star in a special tribute show to Johnny Cash, just days before the long-awaited Hollywood biopic about the late country legend is released.

Bono and Dave Grohl will be amongst the rock'n'roll luminaries expected to feature in "I Walk The Line: A Night For Johnny Cash", on November 16.

They will be joined by Norah Jones, Jerry Lee Lewis, Sheryl Crow, Alison Krauss, Kris Kristofferson and Dwight Yoakam on the CBS show, which will be presented by the film's lead Joaquin Phoenix, reports Billboard.
None of the acts have as yet said which songs they'll perform, although organisers have confirmed "I Walk the Line", "Sunday Morning Coming Down", "I Still Miss Someone", "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Home of the Blues" will be covered.

November 16 will see the American release of the Johnny Cash movie, "Walk the Line", starring Phoenix as Cash and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter Cash.

The film soundtrack is released on November 15, includes performances from Phoenix and Witherspoon, plus tracks by Jennings, Johnathan Rice, Waylon Payne and Tyler Hilton.
