The Subways Introduced To US Via The OC

The Subways (c)Stuart Nicholls
UK rockers The Subways are the latest in a spate of hot young acts to be signed in the US by Sire Records.

Since their debut album "Young For Eternity" was released this year, the band has skyrocketed to the head of their home country's punk rock scene - and are now set to do the same everywhere else.

In order to introduce The Subways to America the band will appear on the one and only "OC", where the likes of Interpol, The Killers and Modest Mouse have performed before them at the television series' "Bait Shop". They will play debut US single "Rock & Roll Queen", which will also be featured on "Music From The OC: Mix 5" available November 8.

The Subways will then embark on their very first tour of the US playing the following cities and venues:

Nov 28th - Spaceland, Los Angeles, CA
Nov 29th - Cinespace, Hollywood, CA
Dec 1st - Popscene, San Francisco, CA
Dec 3rd - Great Scotts, Boston, MA
Dec 6th - Rothko, New York, NY
Dec 7th - North Six, Brooklyn, NY
Dec 9th - The Mod Club, Toronto, ON

"Young For Eternity" will be released in the USA through Sire Records in February 2006, whilst the single "Rock & Roll Queen" will be available on iTunes from October 18.
