Sleater-Kinney | Sleater-Kinney was forced to play a song as a duo for its encore at Denver's Gothic Theatre on Friday (Oct. 14), after singer/guitarist Carrie Brownstein suffered an allergic reaction. The band played its entire main set to a sold-out crowd in a Denver suburb Friday night. Shortly after the trio left the stage, drummer Janet Weiss returned to announce that Brownstein was suffering an allergic reaction and breaking out in hives. Because of her condition she couldn't continue to play. She left the theater to receive a shot; Weiss and singer/guitarist Corin Tucker reported she'd be fine after the medicine kicked in. |
Weiss and Tucker returned to the stage and played "Good Things" as a duo for a brief encore. The show was the final stop in Sleater-Kinney's tour to support this year's The Woods (Sub Pop)
