The Used | The weather is turning unjustifiably cold, which means Christmas will be here soon! Maybe you aren’t ready to show your excitement yet, but Warcon Enterprises are — they're releasing an album in anticipation of the season. Christmas takes on a whole new meaning this winter with Taste Of Christmas. It won't be much of a "Silent Night," with bands such as The Used, Skindred, Funeral For A Friend, My American Heart, Street Drum Corps and many more. The release of this 18 track album is exactly two months before Christmas Day, October 25. |
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of John Lennon's untimely death, The Used's Bert McCraken along with Street Drum Corp have recorded a version of "Happy Christmas." A music video was also shot for this song and it will be used as a visual Christmas card for the soldiers who are separated from their families. The clip is directed by McCraken and David Brodsky
Funeral For A Friend | A good chunk of the songs recorded were by artists who performed at this past summer's Warped Tour. Seventeen of the 18 songs on the compilation were specially written for this album. One of Warcon's founders, Bob Chiappardi, said that they "wanted to give today's generation its own seasonal soundtrack." It's a good thing someone finally got around to it.. |
