Nine Inch Nails | Nine Inch Nails will play both nights of the Voodoo Music Experience, which will be held Oct. 29 in New Orleans and the following night in Memphis. Secret Machines, Cake, North Mississippi Allstars, New York Dolls, Carl Cox, Better Than Ezra, the Decemberists and HIM are also confirmed to play in Memphis. As previously reported, Voodoo was to be held in New Orleans Oct. 29-30 but in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, had no choice but to move to another city. Last week, organizers announced the first night would indeed be held in New Orleans and, excepting previous ticketholders, would be a private event in tribute to local rescue personnel. The full lineup for the show is still being finalized. Meanwhile, Dr. John, the Neville Brothers and Soul Asylum will headline Southern Comfort-sponsored free concerts in Memphis in the days leading up to Voodoo, beginning Oct. 27. For more information, visit the event's official Web site Proceeds from the Voodoo Music Experience will benefit a host of Katrina-related charities, including the New Orleans Restoration Fund, Habitat for Humanity and Bring New Orleans Back.. |
