Broken Social Scene Launch Tour

Broken Social Scene
The loose-knit vanguard pop collective Broken Social Scene, who may or may not include half the population of their homeland Canada in their lineup, confounded indie rock listeners way back in 2003 with their mega-opus, You Forgot It In People.

After a series of side projects, the Scenesters are set to blissfully damage ears once again with the release of their third proper album, a self-titled affair formerly known as Windsurfing Nation, this past week.

And like all good bands putting out a new disc, the band is set to kick off a 15-date supporting tour, with auxiliary member Feist in tow as an opener for 13 of the shows.

The new record, culled from their sessions with producer Dave Newfeld, features more bombastic pop epics and euphoric Eno-esque ballads, all of which are bound to be in abundance on stage starting October 22 in Boston. Whether or not all 18 (!!!) members will fit on the stage is another matter.
